Virtual Viipuri 1939

Viipuri (Vyborg) lies on the Karelian Isthmus in Vyborg Bay, 130 km northwest of St. Petersburg and 38 km south of the border with Finland. On VirtualViipuri* you can see the town as it was in September 1939.

The site is a very unique collection of information on Viipuri history, architecture and business life. There is a brief history of the town accompanied by pictures and also a charter of Viipuri from 19th of August 1403 in its original form, given by King Eric XIII.
