HUSITSKÉ MUZEUM TÁBOR

The town hall is one of the most important monuments of late Gothic in Czech cities. The basic appearance of the town hall was created by the architect Wendel Roskopf around 1521 on the site of three burgher houses. In 1878, the architect Josef Niklas tried to return the town hall to its late Gothic appearance. Today, the halls of the town hall serve the Hussite Museum. On the ground floor of the building is the entrance to the network of underground corridors, partially open to the public since 1947. Today, the old town hall houses an interactive exhibition of the Hussites.
